Dr. Alex Wishart

Dr. Wishart is a Woodstock native, graduating from Woodstock High School in 2000. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry with First Class Honours from UNB in 2004. He then received his Master of Science degree in pharmacology from Dalhousie University in 2006 conducting research on neurological pharmaceuticals and publishing articles in the Journal of Biological Chemistry, Current Drug Discovery Technologies and Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy. Finally in May, 2011 he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Dalhousie University. During his four years of dental training, he worked in out reach clinics in the Halifax Regional school board, completed rotations at the IWK and Victoria General hospitals and completed his 4th year elective in periodontal surgery.

Dr. Wishart is a member of the New Brunswick Dental Society, the Canadian Dental Association and is a board member of the Atlantic Division of the Academy of General Dentistry.

Community Life:
Since moving back to Woodstock in the summer of 2011, Dr. Wishart has enjoyed spending time in and around the community in which he was raised. He has had the opportunity to join the local softball league, men's basketball and help coach basketball at Woodstock Middle School.
