Dr. Susan Pyke

Dr. Susan Pyke graduated from Dalhousie University's Faculty of Dentistry in 1990. She went on to complete a one-year Dental Residency program at the Toronto General Hospital and then returned to Nova Scotia to enter private practice. She also taught part time at the Faculty of Dentistry from 1994 until 2001. She moved to Fredericton in 2001, where she purchased a small general dentistry practice that eventually became the Carriage Place Dental Centre. She practiced there until 2020, when an opportunity arose to switch gears, sell the practice, and accept a very rewarding part time position at First Town Dental in Woodstock.

Professional Involvement:
Dr. Pyke has received extensive training in comprehensive functional restorative dentistry from the Dawson Academy in Florida, and she also completed the Millenium Aesthetics program (for smile makeovers) in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
She is a member of the New Brunswick Dental Society and the Canadian Dental Association.
She received the Community Service Award from the NBDS in 2019 for her work organizing Free Dental Days in the Fredericton community from 2014 to 2019.

Professional Involvement:
Her other passion is her love for animals and the outdoors. She lives on a 25-acre hobby farm in Yoho, NB with her husband and their assortment of horses, dogs, and cats. She enjoys competing locally in dressage and jumper shows with Marshall, her Dutch/Thoroughbred gelding, as well as hiking the beautiful trails of New Brunswick.
